WTG let me know about the thread and I didn't want anyone worrying about us

Baby Jack was born yesterday morning (on my EDD). We ended up switching into a homebirth practice at 35 weeks, which certainly made for a whirlwind there at the end LOL. It was where my heart was from the beginning of the pregnancy, but logistically there were some challenges for me finding a homebirth midwife. Then one of the hospital CNMs in the area spun off her own practice (did homebirths in a different state previously) so we jumped in with both feet and switched into her care at 35 weeks. It was a tough decision as I've always *loved* the birth center where my DD was born, but my heart was really in a homebirth this time.

I had a water birth this time (first one) and my kids were in the water with me as the sun was rising and our little guy was born. It was an awesome experience He was 9lbs and 21 inches long, so my biggest so far.
