Infant playmat

I never bought a playmat for DS1. DS2 is 12 weeks now. Will I still get some use out of a playmat? Do you have one you love? TIA

I think so. DD just loved hers. We bought the Tiny Love muscial kick & discover play mat. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3224031 I would highly recommend it. It has a part that attaches that they can kick or hit to light up/play music. It really got DD to work on her coordination. You can move that part & put it in their crib later (although we never did.)

She really didn't even start getting into it until she was 5 or 6 months old, 3 months adjusted...so I think your DS is at the right age.

We still use ours! We hang all sorts of different stuff from it and DS sits there and wrestles with it.

We have two play gyms/playmats that have been used every day since DS was about 11 weeks old. He is now 5 months. We actually have two, Fisher Price Rainforest and another Bright Starts one. He loves them both.
