I am finishing the invitations and need help with a sentence. Which one is correct?

1) Please check out this website for more information and updates.

2) Please check this website for more information and updates.

The second version is correct. You don't need to use the word "out."

The latter. You check a website, you check out a library book. Or a person or interesting thing (e.g., "check it out, man, that is so cool!" or "check out this website I found, it is really wack."). But in your context, you simply check the website.

Honestly, I would say, "Please visit this website...."

But I agree with PPs that #2 is the correct version.

I would say "check back at this website..." or "here's the website for..." or "stay tuned for updates at www...." rather than either of those formulations. While I agree that "check this website" is grammatically correct, it isn't colloquially used, and so sounds more awkward.
