and NOT the FP Little People, we have plenty of those that don't get played with!

DS was gifted the Matchbox Mega Rigs Pirate Ship and totally adores the two teeny tiny pirates that came with it. He's really started getting into pretend play and likes playing with pretend people/animals/characters. I'd like to get him a few little pretend people and am now trying to decide what brand/type to get for him.

What do your DC like in this type of toy? What should I be looking for?

FP Imaginext? Those or Playmobil would be great.

Thanks! I was just looking on eBay at some FP Loving Family dollhouse people. Those may work well.

the Imaginext guys would probably work well! They have a Pirate thing too

What you need is Lego Mini-figures!! I spent years looking for what you are describing (like Polly Pockets for girls, but for boys), until we accidentally discovered DS1 LOVED playing with the little guys in the Lego sets. He hardly builds the Lego but he can play for hours with the Minifigs!

You can, but the fancy ones are pricey - the Star Wars ones are very popular! If you want the city guys, you can get them pretty reasonably.

If you have a Lego store near you they have a huge bucket of parts and the kids can make their own minifigs.
