Any KitchenAid (or other) Stand Mixer Deals

It looks like my Sunbeam mixer is about to bite the dust. It won't even cream 1/2 cup of shortening and 1 cup of sugar. I didn't think that was too much to ask!

I think I'm tired of messing around with low-quality mixers. That being said, I don't want the super-expensive KitchenAid either. Mostly, I'm just mixing cake mixes and baked goods, maybe up to five times a month.

Any deals out there? I guess I don't need a KitchenAid, I just don't want something that's going to break in a year or two of reasonably light use.

I just saw the Kitchen Aid Artisan on sale on Amazon this morning, part of the Mother's day sale, it wasn't a huge price cutt, IIRC though, but you may want to check it out. I got my Kitchen Aid on an Amazon sale plus rebate, came down from almost 500 to 250 (the professional model), so maybe they have the rebate thing again, I didn't check.
