First-grade teacher Meri Zeiff says she launched Verymeri to produce shirts with upbeat designs -- submitted by children and voted on by customers -- because she was frustrated by the cynical messages on the T-shirts her young students wore to school. Winning designers receive 3% of the profits and they get to earmark another 3% for a favorite charity.
