Seriously....Ds is 9 months old now and he's teething big time. He's extra cranky for sure (cutting 4 top teeth and possibly 2 more bottom ones).

However, he will just randomly scream...not in a happy joyful way, or in a "something hurts" way. Those screams I recognize. The only way I can describe this is like a "I'm really mad" kind of scream.

Isn't it too early for this? (Somebody please say yes!) Can a baby show a temper this early? (Oh heaven help us if he really is throwing a fit already!)

DS has been throwing fits for about a week now. That's what I'm calling his outbursts, because they easily defuse. He'll shreek and scream, I'll pick him up or do something silly for him and he's fine. He does this at night before bed when he's fighting sleep too. Scream, babble, calm, repeat. To me, it seems DS has found a way to show frustration. He just had tooth #6 come in, and he may be cutting a couple more as well. Let's hope this is a passing thing!

Can a baby show a temper this early?

DD was 1 day old in the hospital when a nurse told me that she had a temper. I didn't really get what the nurse meant until I had DS for comparison.
