Not sure if this was just my store, but seemed like a good price.

forgot to ask: are there any coupons out there?

Check to see how many come in a pack to see if it's really a good deal. Five Below is selling packs of 12 for $2 each. Our local toy store has packs for $4.95, but I *think* there are 24 in a pack. They're not all Silly Bandz brand everywhere, but I don't think the kids care.

Can I ask what retailers sell these things? I have been looking around for DD and have not been able to find any.

Thanks

around here they wear them as bracelets and trade them or give them away.

i've never seen these, but reading the description on amazon, it sounds like they stretch, like rubber bands. the description says they can be worn as necklaces, bracelets, or even hair bands. does that mean that there are different sizes, or are they just really stretchy (to go from a hair band to bracelet to necklace)?

Ok, I'm a bit confused. I saw the ad on their electronic banner thingy and I could have sworn it said "Silly Bandz 2/$5". That was yesterday and a different Walgreens location. Today, I went to the closer store and the sign said, "Silly Bands". Inside they had some knock-offs that were 2/$9 for 24 packs (I think they were called Zany Bands) and I also saw on an end-cap another knock-off that were actually 2/$5 but were only 12 packs.
So, a) I'm annoyed that they are advertising Silly Bandz, when it is actually a knock-off and b) how is that a good price, compared to Learning Express which regularly has them $2.99 for a 24 pack, right?

I saw an ad for AC Moore that said they had them so maybe we can use the coupons there?

they are really stretchy. I wouldn't put one around a kid's neck though.

I bought a few at Learning Express last week. The 12 packs are 2.99, 24 pack 4.99. They also had the Zany Bands and a few other knock offs.

so, if I were to give these as party favors amongst other things, I would have to give a whole pack, right? Say, the 12 pack?

My son went to a party on Sat, and each kid got one or two in his goody bag, so you definitely don't need to give a whole pack.

I saw a kid wearing one around his neck on the playground for the first time today, and it made me really nervous - they're basically rubber bands. That's really irresponsible if any company is marketing them as necklaces.

And for those who are just learning about this ridiculous trend... The knock-offs are just as good as the brand name silly bandz, but they only have limited shapes (sea creatures, zoo animals, etc.) that are most common. True silly bandz also have western shapes, princess shapes, and other things like that that my kindergartener perceives as being "rare" and more valuable to trade.

Amazon has 24 packs for as little as $4.10 for a 24 pack with FS.

During my recent trips to CVS and Hallmark, kids came in looking for SB but they were both OOS.

I bought the knock off silly bands at walgreens yesterday. They are thicker and seem to be less stretchy. My four year old wouldn't wear them because they were "too tight." Then my two year old wouldn't wear them....but that was because she was copying her big brother....;-)

I'm not sure where they are located in the store. Two kids in front of me in line asked for them at the register but they were out. Given the supply issues, it would probably pay to call ahead.

HA! I've called 4 or 5 stores. One knew what they were all others had no clue. whatever. not worth the frustration. better off just getting them @ LE :D we have about 120 of them so we're good but they kids still want different ones now. LOL
