Poor DS is sick

We went to a museum with friends on Sunday. Last night DS woke up vomiting. Then today he has 101.8 fever. Turns out my friend and her DS are both also sick with the same thing. They must have picked it up at the museum. Anyone had a stomach virus like this (vomiting first followed by fever much later)? How long should I expect this to last?

That is how our tummy bugs usually go... first comes the vomiting, usually in the middle of the night. The next day they are warm with a fever and burning it off (lots of sleeping or lying in bed/on couch watching tv). Within a few days they are feeling better but their appetite is still low (for a good week or so). Once he is able to keep down some fluids then move to BRAT diet... Banana Rice Applesauce Toast ... saltines... dry cereal... then we usually move to chicken broth/chicken noodle soup.

We just had this last weekend. DD was sick Friday afternoon, fever the next afternoon, totally resolved by Monday afternoon. Made for a fun weekend.
