Looks pretty sweet! I like the cleaner, straighter look. Hopefully this will be coming to Verizon later this year!

ETA: Looks like it's likely to be legit seeing as how Apple's lawyers officially contacted Gizmodo requesting the return of their property:

I am soooooooooooo glad I'm not the bozo that left the prototype lying around.

I'd say it was a publicity stunt but given the negative reaction it's gotten, maybe not.

Especially since s/he left it at a BAR. Drunk much?

It is HIGHLY unlikely a stunt for publicity (if it IS real) ... Apple is one of the most secretive companies in the USA.

I talked to Verizon last night to disconnect two lines (I am sick to DEATH of paying for SIL & BIL's cell phones) and to change our plan around (which saved us over $100 a month ). I told the rep that I was on the phone with for about 45 minutes that I'm sure she gets asked this every five minutes, but I couldn't let it go ... are you guys getting the iPhone? She laughed and said sometimes it's more than every five minutes and lots of people are calling them JUST to ask about the iPhone. Anyway, she told me that *unofficially* they were told that it's coming out in late spring (which has been reported by pretty much every major news outlet ... June) and it is NOT going to be the same phone that AT&T is carrying, but a much more upgraded one (possibly 4G). She did say that Apple is FURIOUS with AT&T because when they made the deal, AT&T promised Apple that they would be rapidly putting in a lot more 3G coverage and if you look at their coverage map (for 3G, NOT just regular service), you'll see they failed miserably. Also, supposedly AT&T was supposed to carry the iPad and (I don't know if this part is true, but I read it on several Mac/Apple rumor blogs that it is) and now they've either backed out of the deal or Apple told them too bad because of the 3G coverage.

Either way, when Verizon starts selling it, I will be first on line to get two (for DH and I).
