My 30+ year old cousin is getting married after cohabitating for 10+ years. The wedding is super low key, most are not even invited to the ceremony, and then a low key party/reception. They have asked for no gifts, but I'd like to get them something personal as a token. Can anyone think of anything they've seen on Etsy that could be personalized or something along those lines? For baby gifts, I love the wooden personalized baby block idea that's been posted here in the past. I get it for every new baby (along with something else). Looking for something in that vein, but for a new married couple, KWIM? It needs to be fairly inexpensive, though, as I don't want to them to feel I like it's a gift, gift, KWIM?

This is a bit more than a token but I bought personalized alphabet artwork from this seller in the past and loved it:

My mom just gave my aunt (similar situation) a personalized Christmas ornament as a wedding gift. I think she had the wedding date engraved on it.

One of DH's sisters picked a couple of candid shots from our wedding and had them printed on canvas and framed ("gallery" framing, it might be called?). They are really nice to have, and less formal than our framed pics.

After a recommendation here I bought one of these for my sister and her DH as a wedding present about. I was really stumped about what to get them b/c they didn't NEED anything and I had done some household stuff as a shower gift. It went over well and the seller was fantastic to work with. I did not get it framed and instead took my sister to pick out a custom frame once it arrived.

A windchime? We rcvd one when we bought our house. It's on our deck and I think of my friend when I hear it.

One of my friends received a very thoughtful gift from another friend. They picked out a beautiful bowl or jar type container (it might have been a piece of pottery) and the couple was to leave notes for each other in the jar--little things that they appreciated about the other or just expressions of love.

I was going to suggest framing a shot or two of them - or even getting them printed on canvas (whichever fits your budget, kwim?)

I made a very inexpensive card for friends, with pictures from their wedding and their wedding invitation. They still have it up after many years.

I love this, my grandma is a major embroiderer, so I think she would keel over if I *bought* something like this though (and there's no way I'm doing it myself :rotflmao:).

You guys, these are such great ideas, thank you so much!

I gave a cousin a popouri bowl for petals from her bouquet. As she had attended our wedding I also included petals from where we got married.

I went to http://www.wordle.net/ and put in some of the things that were common to the bride/groom. I put in their names, where they met, the wedding date, some of the things they did while dating (toured Italy, went skiing in the Alps, etc), and other things unique to them. I put in the things I wanted to stand out many times because it makes the letters bigger. I then put it on card stock (once I got the shape and colors right), bought a nice, but cheap frame at Michaels and had a matte cut out for it.

The Bride/Groom also asked for no gifts since they were stationed in Europe and would have had to transport everything back, but this was so small, they were able to put it in their suitcase. We gave it to them when we got on the ship (it was a wedding cruise - I also put the name of the ship on there) and they put it right next to the guest book and then later next to the cake. They told me that it was the most thoughtful thing they have ever been given!

It cost me less than $15 for the card stock, matte and frame! Good Luck!

Just wanted to update, that I went to our local craft store and asked about framing the invite. The guy said I could bring in my own frame (cheaper), and he would custom mat it. So, I ran out to Marshalls and happened to find a great dark silver frame, and matted it with dark gray and white (the invite was white with dark gray lettering. It turned out *fabulous* and was only $22 +$7 for the frame! Even DH was impressed (he usually doesn't notice things like that). I thought it just turned out so nice. The wedding was today, and the bride really liked it. I wanted to thank you all for the great idea!
