My DD is BF. Two days a week her grandma watches her and bottlefeeds breastmilk. She says she seems to have gas off and on all day and this interferes with her napping. Any ideas with how to help with her gas?

It might be the bottle, you could try a different one and see if that helps. Does she burp well after feeding? Does she have gas after BFing or only with the bottle?

We use Dr. Brown's bottles & they help with gas (yes, they are pricey, but worth the $$ IMO ... though we got the 3 we have "free" from our hospital), but baby should still be burped after every ounce or so, which helps.

I'm also formula-supplementing my DD and if I am giving her a larger amount of formula (4oz vs. 2oz, for example) I mix a dose of Mylicon drops into the bottle and that seems to help with the gas she gets from the formula.

Maybe a dose of Mylicon would help your DC?
