Mojo works again!
It's been such a loooong day! I've been going since 5 am, and I'm exhausted. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the good wishes and support.

It's a long story, but I went in, saw the midwife- no fluid. Went to the hospital for a NST, and a u/s- all good. Just as I was leaving, the VBAC doctor's office called and said they would see me TODAY, after their last patient, if I wanted. Of course, I jumped on that! They were beyond kind to me there. These people stayed until 9:30 for me!!!!

Tried a version, but no luck. The little guy was not budging an inch. We can keep trying, and if all else fails, I do have the option of a vaginal breech attempt. Honestly, I'm just glad we got to do the version, and at this point, I can at least be at peace with a repeat C/s, if that's where this ends up.

*******************************

Getting ready to go get things checked out, but I'm hoping it's just a false alarm b/c I'm only at 36 weeks.

Baby is still breech, and the backup OB refused to do a version for me yesterday, after I was told she would do it. I'm trying to get in with "the" VBAC OB, but having a hard time since it's so last minute.

JTsmom, lots of pp&t to you. And, being me, some advice!

First, don't worry about four weeks early - - that is not early enough that it is going to create a high risk of complications. Our friends with babies born four weeks early left the hospital on the normal schedule.

Second, call VBAC OB's office and plead with the receptionist, ask to speak to the nurse or medical assistant AND leave a message for the doctor if that is possible on his VM. Be polite but upset. Say to the receptionist, I know most practices leave a slot open for emergencies or if unexpected patient issues crop up - - I am in this category and would very, very much appreciate your help. If it is not a great distance, I would consider driving over and speaking to everyone in the office personally - - it is alot harder to say no to a hugely pregnant woman in person.

Fortunately, 36 weeks is a pretty safe time to be born, if the baby decides that he'd prefer a May birthday to a June birthday. I know where you are at, though, with the breech baby - DD1 was breech and refused to flip (it's all her sister's fault, ya know) so my third and final birth was a c-section. You do what you can do but sometimes things are out of your hands, kwim?

Good luck, and we'll be watching for an update!!

I'm back. I just wanted to echo what others have said that 36 weeks is pretty safe. My water broke (no labor) at 36 weeks, 4 days and DD came home on schedule. She did have some feeding difficulties for the first 2 weeks, but no temp regulation or breathing problems, so pretty minor. I really hope you can get through to the VBAC doc! But, I hope it's not leaking fluid.

Just now seeing this---lots of P+PT for you and DS2. Hang in there! DS2 was an emergency c-section (not at all what I had in mind) but I am so thankful everything fell into place when it was time. :grouphug:

Good news about the fluid. I'm sorry the version didn't work, but, like you said, you tried. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for a safe delivery regardless of the method.

Phew, thats a great update! Sorry about the version though. Theres still plenty of time for your little one to turn on his own, no?

would you consider acupuncture? I know a couple of moms who have had luck with it to get babies to turn. I went to my acupuncturist when I was close to my due date and my OB was pushing for an induction.... had DS2 the next morning after treatment!
