Can anyone recommend a spill mat to use under a high chair?

Prefer clear or neutral color/design and something fairly stiff that won't bunch up easily when high chair is moved.

Found this Jeep Protective Floor Mat (http://www.amazon.com/Jeep-90130-Protective-Floor-Mat/dp/B001IYQ7QS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1273286829&sr=1-3) on Amazon, but it looks kind of flimsy. Has anyone used this one?

Thanks!

Can't really comment from first hand experience (we have two wonderful australian shepherds lying in wait under the high chair who make the mat quite unnecessary) but what about those rigid plastic mats that people buy to put under their rolling office chairs?

Great idea! We actually have an extra one not being used. It's pretty large, but it would probably work in the dining room under the Tripp Trapp.

We would still need a smaller one for the kitchen table where we have the FP SpaceSaver high chair.

We got this picnic blanket (in a different color) from Crate & Barrel. I love it. It's large, the cotton twill is substantial, and the PVC backing makes it such that it doesn't slide even on wood floors. It is stiff and heavy enough that we have no problem dragging our IKEA high chairs (no casters) across it and it doesn't budge. We have also machine-washed and dried it (low heat) and it comes out fine. I shake it outside after each meal, and wash it every few days. Now that my girls eat at their own kid-sized table, we still use this underneath their table! You can put a little tikes picnic table on it with room to spare.

I have a Sugar Booger one from Amazon and love it. It's really high quality fabric and pretty heavy duty. I carry it to the trash folded in half and dump out all the food after meals and then wipe it down. It's cleans up super easy and I've even thrown it in the wash before. It's thick enough so it doesn't move all over or fold up on itself. I can definately see it lasting for a really long time and it can be used for messy art projects later on when we're no longer using it for meals.

Search Etsy for an oilcloth splat mat. You can find just about any size/shape/pattern, and a laminated oilcloth works great.

I got a PBK laminated oil cloth on super clearance at my local PBK for $14, but it'll be hard to find that deal again. I can attest that it works great, and we also tote it along as our outdoor picnic blanket.

BTW, mine looks like this http://cgi.ebay.com/pOTTERY-baRN-kIDS-OUTDOOR-SPLAT-MAT-RUG-MEAL-CRAFT-RUG-/190394776926

A really cheap option would be to buy a clear shower curtain and cut it to the size and shape you want.

we just used this cheap clear plastic mat from Brus' Esp. for Baby line. It did it's job well and we were able to wash it down w/ a garden hose.
