we have a small JVC hard drive video camera that take great video but since we have a Mac computer it seems it is more difficult to download the videos (my DH has been the one dealing with it). I got DH and ipod Nano for Christmas and it takes great little videos and downloads quick and easy... highly recommend it.

Honestly I really like the video capabilities of my camera.
My dad & MIL both have flips that they bring along with their cameras but the cameras get a lot of use while the flips don't.

I would NOT recommend our camera. We have a JVC Everio with a 60GB hard drive. The camera itself is fine, but it saves the files in JVC's own proprietary format and the JVC software you need to view/edit/upload those files is HORRIBLE. YouTube will sometimes take the raw video data, but oftentimes rejects it...after waiting 30 mins for the upload. GRRRR!!!

I have a Sony Handycam which write directly to DVDs. So Hassle, just finalize it and play on a regular DVD player. I find it very convenient that I don't have to transfer to discs etc.
