I am looking for a compact stroller for my 10 month old that can fit in the boot of my mini Cooper. The boot is about 38" wide & I think mac quest would fit, but pricy. I want a stroller that has a 5 pt harness as dd is VERY wiggly. I also measured a chicco Capri, but it is 45" long. I'm only 5' so I don't think there is a stroller that would be too short for me--dh would just have me push or use our trevi. Any suggestions?

I love my Maclaren Volo - it is my 'car stroller' and is very compact and lightweight. you can find it on Ebay for relatively inexpensive (I lucked out and got mine for only $55 when they were clearancing some with red dye stains).

We have the Silver Cross Fizz -- it's pretty compact. I would recommend it!

We had the Quinny Zapp which folds SUPER tiny!!!

for a 10mo, I wouldnt get a volo OR a zapp. Neither recline (I dont think they have leg rests either) both features are important for a younger baby. I hate seeing little babies slumped over b/c their strollers dont recline.

I would look at a Maclaren Triumph, more features than a Volo (one position recline, more fabric in the seat, and better wheels (I think)), but less than a Quest. I bought both of my Maclarens off of Ebay and have had zero problems with either one of them. I paid $130 including shipping for my Triumph in 2006, so I saved about $40 on the stroller vs. buying new at BRUS.

Also the 20% off coupons at BRUS work on Maclaren strollers:)

I would also look at the Quinny Zapp, which pushes like a dream, but I think you might get more use out of a Maclaren because it has higher seat backs (my 4 yr. old still fits in her Triumph, and the XLR).

Another vote for the Fizz - if you're tall or have a long stride, you may kick the back of the Macs while walking, which is not a problem on the Fizz... another idea is the Uppababy G-lite (or G-luxe if you want a recline).

i've heard the bjcm fits in a mini's trunk...and they'd have the same "mini" name!!! umbrella strollers would fit as mentioned by others but i'm not an umbrella stroller fan...
