We bought an inexpensive drop-side crib from USA Baby in 2008. To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been recalled. (I'll keep checking.) We've never had any problems with it and don't want to replace it for DC #2. We're planning to go over the crib and tighten anything that is loose before putting another baby in. I just saw a piece on the local news that says more and more of these cribs are being recalled due to injuries and deaths, and the trend is to get parents to stop using them. Are they all dangerous? Is there a fix or a kit that reduces the risk? TIA for any information on this.
