A couple years ago, we got a great inflatable pool at Target - it was royal blue and white, round, big enough for several little ones. We've used it solely at beach houses on the deck - for splashing toddlers, then bathing them at the end of the day. Sadly, our little pool wasn't holding air as well, so we ditched it last week. We picked up one at SuperWalmart while we were at the beach (only store for miles and miles and miles.) It was horribly thin, shapeless, and leaked.

I'm looking for another better-quality round 3 ring inflatable pool, but I can't get to any stores easily this week or next. My friend's nanny is away, so I've got her DD (11m) plus all mine. Yes, 4 kids under 4. Lisa, Lori, etc. I can't imagine how much caffeine you must need to make it through a day!

Have you seen any such pools around in B&M stores? Online is an option also, I just really liked the $10 aspect of the one at Target (in the past!)

We have a small easy set pool, DH got it at Walmart I believe. Its about 2' deep? The nice thing is, DH, both girls and myself can be in it (DH and I can sit on the bottom and the water comes up to about our collar bones) at once. The other super nice thing is that it has a filter and its designed to be used the "chemicals" (chlorine?), but you could use it without if you wanted too. We try to conserve water in the summer (rationing by our Metro area), so not having to dump it every 2 days is important to us.

Ours is smaller than this one, but this picture shows the filter: http://www.walmart.ca/details?assetId=64914&fromSearch=true

Our friends have this one and it is great for our 5 kids to play in ... ages 2 to 9. They make a 12ft, 10 ft and an 8 ft in diameter pool as well.

if those above are too big then these might be a good option

Those all look nice. Always wondered about the easy set pools. We have hard plastic LT pool with a slide for our yard, so we need a much smaller one to take with us as luggage and set up on the rental house's deck. I grabbed this whale (http://www.target.com/s/187-3180867-6486863?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-index&keywords=whale%20pool&ref=sr_bx_1_1&searchNodeID=1038576|1287991011&searchPage=1) pool, but it's a little on the small side.

I think a 60" diameter is what we had before and loved.

hehe! I wondered who would want one in that star-like shape, and that seems perfectly suited for that use! That kind, just perfectly round is ideal, unless you found that the weirdness of the sides wasn't an issue. We usually lean in to wash people while they're in it. Would it work for that?

Oh, my friend is paying me, generously!:D I was considering buying a DSLR or part of a new TV with the $$. Now, I'm buying a water heater with it!

I wanted the intex aquarium pool for my homebirth but amazon was out of stock and pools were *just* starting to roll into Target and other brick and mortar stores.

I needed the depth. It is tough to find a 21-22 inch deep pool that also doesn't take more than say 100-130 gallons of water...which is what i needed to get nicely submerged. Much bigger and the issue with a homebirth is running out of hot water too quickly to get it full.

I think it is funny DS2 was born in a rainbow colored star-shaped tub. Seems fitting for a homebirth LOL :rotflmao:

We got one last summer at Target. It was a large oval, and had a big fish tail hovering over it. I think it was supposed to squirt water if you attached a water hose, but we never used that feature. It was a pretty good pool, although I notice when it got cooler the pool would deflate ever so slightly, causing the tail to droop. Then in the middle of the day when it was hot the pool would really inflate, causing the tail to totally flare up. It was pretty funny now that I remember it;)

This is the one we have (the largest size - plenty big enough for a bunch of little kids, it's 7 feet in diameter). I love how small it folds down and that it's PVC-free, and the sun shade is great too! One Step Ahead Pool (http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=536750&cmSource=Search)

That last one is crazy! Melinda, I think that's the one I got from Target last night - with a whale hanging over it. Is it big enough for 4 kids to bounce around?

Where all should I be looking?
