Not that we NEED another ride-on, but I'm considering selling DD's pink/purple cozy coupe and getting a different one for DS2. Not having much luck getting out for yard sales/getting to consignment sales early enough/nothing showing up on CL :(

So...
Ride and Rescue Firetruck coupe (http://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=15083697&) ($70-20% at BBB= $56)

Spray and Rescue (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3985290) ($50 at TRU)

Police coupe (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cozy-Coupe-30th-Anniversary-Tikes-Patrol-Ride-On/13012222) ($39 at WM)

We have the Little Tykes Fire Rescue one at home and it is great. However, MIL and FIL got DS2 this pick-up truck for Xmas and it is a HUGE hit with DS2, DS1 and our two nephews.

We have the yellow and red Anniversary cozy coupe that DS loves. It was a b$tch to put together and DH had to use his own power drill for a couple of the nonexistent holes!! He definitely got a workout putting that thing together. I heard it's a common complaint for all Little Tikes coupes.

I love that firetruck from TRU!! I have a NIB cozy coupe - I wonder what I could get for it on CL to buy the truck instead???

Ok, the truck is cute. I've seen those on CL and never considered them - I guess I'll keep an eye out now. Is it $100 worth of fun or is there any way to get a discount?

But, of the three posted, which do you think would be the best? Would the "water feature" in the spray truck get nasty or would it be annoying? Would the firetruck promote better dialogue in play than the police car? Maybe I'm over-analyzing it.

We got the fire one b/c DS1 is obsessed with firemen. It has a neat radio. I can tell you that all the kids MUCH prefer the truck. It comes with a handyman hat and tools. I've never seen them on sale and the one time I considered getting one myself they were out of stock everywhere!

Out of your 3 options, I like the first one the best because it is red and has doors. I think DS2's favorite thing about these toys is opening and closing the doors. :)

:yeahthat: We just put together dd's Princess anniversary coupe, and omg what a pain!

OP: I bought mine at BBB and used a 20% coupon. It came out to about $40. You can use those or the ones BRU/TRU coupons.

Ok, I'm on the hunt for a pickup truck now. There's one 10 miles down the road from my dad's house, but he says he's too busy. He's retired, but whatever..

There's another one for $15 a couple hours away, not too far from a friend's house. I emailed to see if she could maybe get it and keep it until we can get over to her in a few weeks.

Otherwise, is there any way to get one for less than $100? http://www.littletikes.com/toys/classic-pickup-truck.aspx

The cheapest I can find it for is $99 at Amazon.

Can.not.pay.full.price. My mama taught me that long ago. Surely, somewhere.... right?

I was looking at the Little Tikes Ride & Rescue coupe too, but I'm thinking it will be harder to push because it doesn't have a long handle. I want to get a push-to-ride on toy for my 10 mo. old soon. I think i narrowed it down to these 2:
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Tikes-Deluxe-Cozy-Convertible/dp/B00004SCWA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
http://www.amazon.com/Radio-Flyer-Sport-Coupe-Red/dp/B000U1VFMG/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1P72LOQ3DBR4Z&colid=2UFLIDT3AAEEQ
I prefer the canopy on the LT, but I doubt it has much sun coverage anyway. The RF looks much cuter, and probably better quality. Do you think its worth the extra money? Any other suggestions?

We don't have the pushing kind (only a Kettler with a push bar) so I can't really help you there. We just use the coupes in the yard, and the little people push each other.

We have this Step2 and our son loves it. He will be 2 next month and has been using it since around 10 months. The handle comes off so you can take it in your car too.

I was looking at the Step2 buggy before, but decided against it since their recall. http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml10/10229.html

They have a repair kit for it but I am sure the new ones out have the correction already made on it. With or without the recall we love it and will continue to use it. Good luck in your decision.

We have the Step 2 buggy - it was DS1's main form of transportation last spring and summer.

We already have 3 kettlers - one with air tires and a pushbar that he'll be pushed in, 2 cozy coupes (1b, 1g), a pedal tractor, a LT tractor, a bunch of different sized bikes, wagon, etc. I wanted something that was more "fun" for playing. We don't need the pushing factor, esp. since it will be just for the grass. We don't use the driveway for riding very much.

Still looking for a cheap way to get that pickup :)
