With the eye-popping prices of some stroller nowadays, I was wondering what most people are comfortable with. I personally could never wrap my head around paying nearly $900 for a Cam when I was looking for my first stroller. I think my max is $500 for a single and maybe a tad more for a great double. Thoughts?

Well, since our nursery furniture was a gift (:cheerleader1:) we got the Bug. It's a workhorse, and a sweet place to rest our newborns for a few months. The joy I get from watching the RF child in the seat and the FF child on the wheeled board giggling and cooing at each other is worth every penny. We skimp on other things.

Pre-baby, I though anything more than a $200 Graco was RIDICULOUS.

Now, after personally owning 3 strollers...

It would depend on the re-sale value for me. I would spend $1000 if I knew that I could sell it for $800 after using it for 2 years. I will gladly buy a brand new Frog (if we ever end up having another baby) and then sell it on CL and get $500 for it. My last Frog I bought for $300, used it everyday for 8 months, and just sold it for $300...so for me, I basically had a free stroller for the last 8 months!

$400 absolute max, but I would (and have) get it from Craigslist vs buying new -- so retail value well above $400.

I buy used cars too on the same principle :)

I think our Vista was $600 brand new back in 2007. So that WAS my max. I now have a max of $0, as I need to just step away from strollers right now!

my first peg p3 was $329 and i thought that was soooo expensive- then i traded it in for a $800 bug! then i got cheap again and $230 on a bjcm was far enough to spend on a stroller. still in the same boat now on #2- $300 ish is plenty on a double (bjcmd) and $150 ish is fine on a single (bjcm or my new joovy kooper)! i see people with bugaboos now and thing what a waste when there are plenty of great strollers around $200-$300!!

I'm cheap compared with the rest of you. Our most expensive stroller is the BJCM. If I were doing it all again, I'd probably buy the BJCE, and have that be our one and only. Not sure how much it is, but I think it's reasonable.

The max I will spend (and have spent for that matter ) is $500.00.

I guess I live large. My Bee+ is my cheapest stroller.

$250 for a single, $500 for a double.

$250-300 for a single but I would prefer to stay as close to (or under) $200 as possible. Plenty of acceptable to me strollers in that price range. Never priced doubles as they are unnecessary for me so no thoughts there.

Well my first and only stroller for DD1 was a Graco Metrolite. I thought my friends who registered for Peg's were nuts! LOL! For DD2 we just bought a BJCS with double kit so that's about $800. But, again, it'll be our one and only double and we hope for a good resale value down the road.

I am a total cheapo. I want things for a discount so I am a fan of CL and looking for great prices.

I got my Snap N Go for $20. Going to sell for $30 on CL
Bumbleride Flyer (1.5yrs old) for $100. I will make more on resale
Perego Si 2010 (brand new) $200 after discounts but used a $100 gift card.
BJCE 2010 (brand new) $251 after all discounts. I could make more on resale.

Since I will never have to get a double, I think my max would be about $300 but I can get a whole lotta stroller for that money.

Lol. When DH and I first started looking at strollers at BRU, I liked the Chicco Cortina and he liked the P3. I was shocked (and quietly disgusted) that he would even check out a $400 stroller. (It was the Paloma fabric, and at BRU it was overpriced.) Times have changed.

I'd probably put my cap at $400, depending on the stroller. I have no problem buying used or an older model. I often figure out what I like and then begin the search of finding the best deal. I scooped up my BJCCS for $200 last year when they were on sale.

I thought my Metrolight for $130 was super pricey when I registered...:hysterical:

I just bought a BJCCD for $400...that's the most, by far, I have spent to date.....

$400 would be my max - which is what I almost spent on a BJCE before finding a new 2010 for $275, shipped. Even then I had a hard time stomaching it, but I'm glad I bought it!

I spent $229 on my BJCE and that seemed like an insane amount to spend on a stroller. Even now it's the most that I have spent, but I think if we have a second LO I would be willing to spend more. Although I really don't know how much more. I want a reversible AT and I'm thinking I'll go looking in Europe...
