watermelon question....

I need to take watermelon slices/wedges to a preschool picnic tomorrow afternoon and was wondering if I could slice it up later this afternoon or tonight?? Would the slices be fine tomorrow afternoon?

Slice them whenever...they will be fine. Just drain them before you take them tomorrow.

I'm jealous. We bought one melon a few weeks ago and it was too early in the season. It has to be that perfect blend of sweet and crisp, you know.

Mmmm, watermelon. I would slice ahead of time. I dice it up and keep it in the fridge for several days for the kids.
