I may be traveling alone with my 7 year old and two month old in June. I want to take my 2009 Swift, but I'd like to put the infant bucket in it and then put the baby in the bucket to get through the airport. Is there some safe way to do this? Bungee cords? Something else?

Thanks,
Catherine

According to this website, a car seat adapter is coming out in spring 2010:

Interesting. But apparently not out yet. If we go it will be in about three weeks so I don't think I can count on this.

I thought it might be worth calling MB. I would probably do a baby carrier for the baby and use a bungee cord to keep the car seat in the stroller.

Good idea to call. But I'd rather not carry the baby because I also need to deal with our bags. . .

Can you put the bags in the seat of the stroller, the carseat on top, while wearing the baby?

I don't know the swift, but is it possible to fully recline it, then put the bucket seat in resting on the bumper bar? Then bungie it through the seatbelt guides.

Doesn't specify if this is for the Urban or the Swift or both:

Hmm that looks like the swift promo pic from the MB website. I'll have to send an e-mail!

Thank you!

So diapers.com said we don't know if the car seat adapter fits a swift, contact MB. I'll try tomorrow.

MB says no carseat adapter for Swift currently. Hoping for a mid-summer release. So almost certainly too late for this possible trip.

Bummer! :( It is the Swift pic!

I know. I really thought about just ordering it and trying it to see if it would work. But surely MB wouldn't bother making one just for the swift if they already had one that worked. And surely MB wouldn't tell me it's not out yet if it really were. So it's got to be a mismatch of product and picture at diapers.com.

I really wish there were some way to safely attach the carseat to the swift.

Nope. Hmm, I think I'm still a member.

Do you have an Ergo carrier? I just travelled extensively with my baby, and wore her in the Ergo on my front, a backpack on my back, and pulled a rolling suitcase behind me...it worked perfectly for us!

I'm going to be at my parents for two weeks if i go. I definitely want a stroller with me. And I'm actually having some baby wearing issues, see my thread in baby carriers. One option might be to leave the swift at home and borrow a neighbors snap n go. But I kind of don't want a snap n go for nature trails, etc with ds on the trip. . . .

Thanks all,
Catherine
