Little People blocks... compatible with ??

My 19-month-old loves playing with his Little People blocks, and I was wondering if anybody had info on whether they were compatible with other block sets out there.

If not, what other block sets I should consider for this age group? Thought I would check here before making an investment--toy stores overwhelm me!

I have LP blocks, duplo legos and regular legos. LP don't work with either. They only work with themselves. Duplo work "sort of" with regular legos; i.e., you can stick duplos on top of regular legos, but you can't put regular on top on top of duplos. HTH!
