Hi! I am expecting twins in a few weeks. Does anyone have a recommendation for the ideal twins diaper bag (i.e., large enough for 20+ diapers, clothes, burp cloths, blankets, etc--2 of everything)! Thanks!!

Hehehe...it doesn't exist:) But here's what you need to think about when you decide on one:

Are the twins your only children? How often do you see yourself getting out, and for what? (be honest here! in my experience, it was very difficult to get out for anything other than doctor's appts and grocery stores for the first few months). If you forsee yourself just doing these sorts of short trips with your twins, any good-sized diaper bag will work. We used a Columbia diaper backpack (and we still use it for our toddlers for short day trips). It holds enough for a couple diaper changes, change of clothes, a couple of bottles or cups, snacks. Backpacks are good because they keep you hands-free...you WILL need both hands!! :) Something with stroller hooks or that can easily be attached to stroller handlebars is very nice, as you'll be digging into it frequently and it's a pain to keep taking it in/out of the stroller basket.

If you see yourself doing longer trips/outings or overnighters, or plane travel, you will obviously need something bigger. Don't limit yourself to things marketed as "diaper bags" - you can often find a regular backpack that will work just as well.

I think that people with more than one kiddo here like the Skip Hop Duo bags...but they aren't backpacks which is what turned me off.

I don't have twins, but I have 2 in diapers. Hoping to get the 2nd one tted before the party becomes 3. Ju-Ju-Be just discontinued the Be Right Back, but you can still get some on ebay.

There are a few up for auction right now. I currently use a JJB Packabe (but I don't need 20 diapers or 2 changes of clothes) http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Ju-Ju-PackaBe-Lotus-Lullaby-Designer-Diaper-Bag-/280515829836?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41500be04c

I bought this for my upcoming 3 some: http://cgi.ebay.com/Ju-Ju-Be-Prepared-Diaper-Bag-Champagne-Bubbles-/260533199278?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ca8fd21ae

I tried out the skip hop, but it was rather wide.

You may also want to look at the Skip Hop GiGi & some of the bigger OiOi bags. Or just a hiking backpack.

I love Ju Ju Be diaper bags and accessories! I agree I would really think about when and where you will be going out and about with the twins. Unless you will be gone ALL DAY LONG you won't need 20 diapers.

I personally would look at either a packabe or the new BFF bags. Get 2 Be Quicks, one for each baby and put a couple of diapers and a change of clothes for each baby in them. That way you just have to grab the Quick that goes with the child needing the change and not dig through your whole diaper bag.

In addition to the 2 Quicks you could also fit 2 burp cloths, small first aid kit, 2 light blankets, formula, bottles and your mommy stuff.

In the car keep a rubbermaid container in your car with extra diapers, change of clothes for everyone (including you!), bottle of water, washcloth, etc. That way if you have some kind of emergency you are prepared but don't have lug everything around with you when 99% of the time you won't use it.

I think the JuJuBe BePrepared would do it for you.

Or the JuJuBe BFF, but it's not out yet.

That's exactly the one DH likes and I'm getting it for him on his birthday. DH, ever the loyal and true Eagle Scout is an over packer. Whenever we go somewhere I feel like we're bringing the house with us. Now that we have two DCs, oh the stuff we bring for the "just in case" moments. He gets that I get the new BFF. :yay:

I like it because it's not such a cutesy print. None of those stylish handbag ones are big enough. I would love a BFF. Just trying to figure if I could get all my stuff in there.

20 diapers? How long will you be out? I think you might be overanticipating the amount of time you will spend out with newborn twins!

But if you are inclined to pack and carry that much, you might want to go with the Ju Ju Be Be Prepared. It is huge! Or the Skip Hop Duo Double - also huge.

I use the Ju Ju Be Be Right Back right now, and really like it. But I'm one to pack, at most, about 6 diapers when we go out. I have extras in the car in case we have a crisis, but I don't think that we've ever run through even the 6 dipes when out.

At most you will need 12 diapers, and that's changing both babies every 3 hours for a 12 hour outing. Chances are, unless you are traveling somewhere overnight, you won't be out that long with twins!! At least while they are still in diapers! ;)

I would suggest a Skip Hop Duo Double Deluxe: http://www.amazon.com/Skip-Hop-Double-Deluxe-Black/dp/B000YFRC84/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1276336975&sr=8-3

Congratulations! Welcome to the club. I don't have much advice, because we stopped using a diaper bag as soon as we could. I hated lugging the big old things around. I used the pockets of the stroller, and the trunk of my car as my diaper bag. ;). I'm not one of those "everything and the kitchen sink" people, and for me wrestling a big bag while wrangling twins was too much of a pain. I take the necessities, and if I need something unforeseen, well, that's what stores are for. :)

We had a bag from Dad Gear. It got the job done. When I travel, we use a regular backpack.
