So the diaper bag vs own purse thread had me revisiting this old thread about wristlets....http://www.windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=323616&highlight=be+major

Wondering how ang79 is liking her Be Mine and also wondering if anyone has found anything else they like.

My wristlet requirements are: multiple credit card slots (more than 3), cash slot, coin pouch, place for cell phone. If it has room for keys or lipstick, etc that's a bonus.

I currently have one that I like and meets most of my requirements but it's so ugly. It's plain black canvas and I've been carrying it for 3 yrs and need a change. It came with my One Step Ahead diaper bag. I've looked at VB but the zip around wallet doesn't have a place for a cell, the all in one is too tiny and the sleek wallet is quite big/bulky. The VB flapper would be great if it had more than 2 credit card slots. I saw a Hobo International Ally that looks promising but sounds like it is too small for cash (bills have to be folded). The fanci-free one that was mentioned in the old post looks a lot like what I have function-wise but I'm not sure I like the look of the nylon.

I'm just really surprised there aren't more wristlet/wallet combos out there.

No advice for you as my favorite small cosmetic bag from milano series bit the dust a few months ago. I've been using it still and trying to find a replacement. It was perfect. Small enough to go into the pocket of my LE fleece, but big enough to hold keys, cell/ipod, credit cards, cash, lipstick, chapstick, etc. I just wrote to the company to ask them how to get another one since I don't see them on their website.

I use and love the VB All-in-one wristlet:

I carry my cell phone, cash (mostly paper, though there is room for coins) and probably the equivalent of 15 different cards (credit cards, driver's license, store loyalty cards, gift cards, costco card, atm card) most times. No room for a lip balm or pen but my phone is nice and snug in there so I don't have to worry about it falling out. It works very well for me most of the time. Now, in the summer I rarely have pockets for my keys, so I've started to use a JJB large BeSet as a small cross-body bag for my wristlet, keys and sunglasses.

I have a BeMine, too, but I feel like things are more likely to fall out when I open it (haven't packed it up and used it yet). It doesn't have many credit card slots, though.

I still love my Hayden Harnett Pilot, but they're not readily available anymore. I saw a patent leather Brighton wristlet the other day that looked nice. It didn't have the usual Brighton look; I wouldn't know it was a Brighton wallet if it wasn't in the Brighton section.

I would love to try out the Junior Drake Roxanne wristlet, but it's a bit out of my budget.

I have used a bunch of the different VB styles, tried the JJB, and then tried some others from various china stores. I have found that I like the FanciFree wallet/wristlet the best (fits a phone so easily and my keys clip easily to it) and actually purchased a bunch of them as gifts recently. I figured it was a great way to give a couple gift cards at the end of the school year. The other thing that I found works well instead is a bag like the VB Amy with a small wallet, my phone and my other neccesities inside. I just throw that in the bigger bag like it is a cosmetic case/wristlet but can put it across my body if needed also.

Just wanted to say that I am still looking for a good one. I have a Ju Ju be Major and I absolutely hate it. Worst Ju Ju bag ever!

Hmmm - let me count the ways...

The front pocket for your phone has a snap. Most phones have screens this is not good to snap into. The pocket is long but tight in depth and width. I have a Droid Eris with a case and it barely fits in there. I need 2 hands to pull it out - takes a few seconds and is annoying. The main opening is a zipper around 3 sides leaving it too opened and dangling. The insert is square, the zipper is rounded so everytime you zipper it shut, it gets stuck on both corners. The insert has 6 card holders on one side and the other side is empty. One area on the bag has a picture area. I rather have a checkbook insert, a zipper pocket or more card holders in those areas - poor use of space. I have a phone to show pics of my kids. If you take the annoying insert out, you are only left with an ID area and 2 card inserts. Not nearly enough with this size. The key fob is useless unless you have 1 or 2 simple keys. I have a key with the auto door open/locks that is bulky. It is too big to fit inside the wallet. The loops for the lipglosses are kinda useless. It takes 2 hands to put back in. I rather a 1 hand slot. For the size there is just not enough places to put things. I think the Be Mine fits almost everything the same minus the phone which is really a horrible pocket anyway...

I have the HOBO International Christine Convertible, it is great. the strap is just long enough to hold over your shoulder, if you want. Two zippers on the outside are perfect for phone/keys. My SIL has one and I have coveted it for a long time. They were on sale on Amazon recently (for around $50) and i jumped on it!

Thanks everyone. I actually found another etsy seller who is making a custom one for me (she has beautiful fabrics to chose from). I hope to have it in another week or so. I'll let you all know how it works out. I got the organizer wristlet (so that I'd have a pouch for phone, camera, keys, etc and still have places for credit cards and cash). She also make a nice wallet/wristlet that has 2 pockets on the inside but I worried that it would get too "thick".
