Hi,

I am ISO of an insulated soft lunch box that will hold the Ziplock divided rectangle containers. There are a few at Lands End that I am considering, but I need one that will also fit a small water bottle too!

Has anyone used these containers with a lunch box successfully?

Can you link to an example of the container?

We use a PBK lunchbox similar to the flip tops ones here - http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/boys-mackenzie-lunch-bags/?pkey=dshop-all-lunch-bags

With the PBK lunch containers + a water bottle - it works perfectly for DS.

These (http://easylunchboxes.com/faq/index.htm) EasyLunchboxes are similar in size to the ziploc brand containers and they recommend this (http://easylunchboxes.com/products/lunch_bags/index.htm) lunch bag. I am sure you could find similar ones without buying directly from this site. The Crocodile Creek lunch boxes are big enough for the ziploc containers and I can squeeze a milk box in the side. I also have the reusable Rubbermaid Litterless (http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?Prod_Id=RP091206)box and could squeeze it in. I am not sure what size/kind of water bottle you have in mind.

ETA: One thing I noticed with the ziploc containers is the tab on the lid that makes it easy to take off actually sticks out pretty far and takes up packing space.

What about one of the LE ones w/a bottle holder on the side? Or do you need the bottle to be inside for the insulation?

The LL Bean flip top lunch bags should fit your containers and a water bottle too. It fits my DH's lunch, snacks, and drinks for the day.

DS carries the Easy Lunchbox container linked above (similar to the Ziplock ones, but sturdier and BPA free) in his LLBean critter lunchbox. DD uses the Easy Lunchbox with their container.

Thank you! Just FYI that the Ziploc ones are BPA free too.

To the other responses, the width and length doesn't seem to be the issue. But I would need to fit a water bottle, small, on TOP of the container too.

Ziploc products are BPA free as well, according to their FAQ: http://www.ziploc.com/pages/TopFAQs.aspx

Do the Easy Lunchbox containers have a big tab to get the lids off? I am finding the tab on the ziploc containers to be annoying. It is big.

Just got one for my daughter so I could fit everything and a thermos of water/juice/milk.

Thanks for mentioning this. They have several cute options for $12.99 w/free ship so we'll try these out.
