What size (small or large) is recommended for kindergardeners? Thanks!

I would say small. We just got my almost 4 year old the small and it's a little big for him. He's all torso and 75th percentile for height (42 inches or so). We needed a backpack in a pinch - the preschool size would probably been better but our local store didn't have it. But he loves it and it's not terribly big. I hope he gets a few years use out of it.

My DS had the small for kindergarden. I wish I had done the large. His folders had to bend a bit at the corners to fit and sometimes his artwork would come home crumpled. It was OK for K since he didn't really have books, but we would have gotten more longevity from a large. I can't imagine how small the preschool size would be. He will be getting the large to start first grade and hopefully that will last a few years.
