A good friend of mine had a horrible day yesterday! His dad passed away 6 weeks ago from cancer. Once it was discovered, he only lived about 2-3 weeks. So yesterday, he got a call that his aunt (his dad's sister) passed away. She has been loosing weight and not feeling well. They do not know what the cause is as of yet.
Then he received a phone call that his 22 yo Nephew just found out that he has prostate cancer. THEN, he got a phone call that his 19 yo DS just got back from the doctors office and he has testicular cancer!
His wife is having surgery on Monday and then again in 6 weeks! Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. He is still upbeat and in good spirits, but underneath it all, I know this is taking a toll on him. I have offered to help him out if he needs anything, but he's the kind of guy that won't accept help. I know his First Sergeant, so I'm going to keep in touch with him to make sure that everything is taken care of if/when needed.
