I always wonder what everyone's kids are doing while we're on the BBB! My DD is watching Yo Gabba Gabba, and DS is still napping.

After trying to get him to nap ALL DAY (he usually naps 12-2, it's 4 pm and nada), I gave in and turned on the TV, so mommy could have a little break. So he's watching ni hao, kai lan

I usually come on the boards while he naps or after bedtime.

Mine are old enough now that I can pop in and out throughout the day while they are keeping themselves busy. Right now they are in their bedroom "getting the show ready" for me. I am a bit concerned as to what that means and should probably be peeking in at them... But it has been a long day.

Often I log on while they are in the room with me doing art/mazes/coloring.

And of course during the television shows!

just arrived at my parent's house for the weekend with DH and DD. They are watching TV and eating sandwiches with my stepdad and I am having a nice strong margarita and reading the BB

One is getting ready to make dinner (he's 20). The 17 year old is at work. The 14 year old just got home from camp 30 minutes ago and is unpacking. The 10 year old is at a friends' house. See, it does get easier to be online!

Both of them are currently in the kitchen, playing with my pots and pans (my 11-month-old started it, but then my 4-year-old had to join in). I'm usually on here while DS2 is sleeping, and DS1 is playing by himself or watching TV.

I hear the thumps coming from the room where my older two are. I think one is tumbling while the other is playing. The youngest is in the living room playing and I'm simmering dinner.

DS is building a city (complete with masking tape as the electrical lines). I'm not allowed in the playroom until it's finished.

They just finished what DH deemed the worst dinner ever with tons of screaming b/c of super sore throats. Every food they were served was "wrong" and killed their throats. We finally gave up and gave DS2 applesauce and DS1 a bowl of chocolate flavored coconut ice cream. They both had 102-104 degrees yesterday but apparently the worst of the throat pain was saved for tonight without any forewarning :(

Wow! Good for you.

Mine are running around like maniacs in the backyard with our neighbors. Its getting late, but I am loathe to interrupt the playing-it's one of the best parts of summer, right? ;)

With Dh as he tries to get them ready for bed. Which involves them watching something on his iPad, even though I am supposed to be reading more of a book. "Daddy says we can read the book tomorrow!" Thanks, DH.

Earlier today they were playing together REALLY well, and then later they watched a movie so I could get some stuff done... I've been here a lot today. :wink2:

DD is sitting here eating a PB&J and apple slices while watching Backyardigans on demand. I am breaking two of my own most strict rules-- dinner in front of TV, and TV after dinner. She and I just got back from her swimming lesson, gave her a quick bath, and now she needs to eat and go to bed.

DH is working the late shift, so I'm giving myself this sanity break before I put her to bed and make her lunch and pack her bag for tomorrow and finish up a load of laundry I popped in while she was in the tub. TGI(almost)F.

DS has been in bed for two hours (went in 6pm our time)

that's what happens when he goes from napping twice a day for a total of almost 3 hours...to napping once a day...for one hour.

was a lonnnggg day for both of us and he could barely keep his eyes open by 6

DD1 has daycamp from 10-4:30 & comes home exhausted.

DD2 decided to skip her nap today & was having a complete meltdown.

DS is now up for some reason no one can fathom. My DH is upstairs trying to calm him. I went up, but all he wants to do is sit on top of my preggo belly & kick me.
(eta- he was thirsty. he does this periodically. he wakes up screaming hysterically & all he wants is a drink.)

That's awesome! Mine likes Techno. This is her fave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ6HBbyJR34&feature=channel

I actually think it is a great song for kids!
