Unfortunately we have relatively new light colored carpet in the dining room and a galley kitchen.
Presently we are using a Target picnic blanket (nylon side up) for the baby spills - mostly intentional.
Although oil cloth is treated vinyl, how much of a hazard is it to my 1 year old as it's on the floor and she's not really touching it. The only people in contact with it would be adults using it and cleaning it.
