It seems nuking it on defrost might cook it a bit, like it does with ground beef. Which if I'm browning ground beef it's a big who cares, but salmon? I'd rather that not cook before I intend. Tips?

i'm not sure about salmon, but to quickly defrost shrimp, i run it under cold water. i don't see why you can't try that with salmon. it just might take longer.

I run it in a bowl of warm/room temp water. change the water 10-20 min later if it's cold. DH and I defrost frozen salmon from costco this way all the time.

Yep, warm water...changing it when it gets cool.

Thanks guys. I did the water thing, but then I finished it in the nuker for like one minute and defrost and made due. I have a fear of fish, and if they're fileted I'm fine, but this had the skin on, so handling it I had a hard time with. This combo worked. Thank you!!

Salmon will cook from frozen if you are in a bind.
