As much as possible, I try to buy eco-friendly, non-toxic toys for my DD. I've been thinking of buying Mega Bloks for her and found this old article about Mega Bloks containing lead.

Does anyone know if Mega Bloks is lead-free, BPA-free, phthalate-free?

I wasn't aware that toy companies tested for BPA or phthalates. I think the only toys you would find info like that would be from companies who consider themselves 'green'. I doubt Mega Bloks falls in that category.

What about Lego Duplos or Quatros?

Lego duplo/quatro blocks are european made, so maybe they are more eco friendly. Still, if they did go to the trouble of making their blocks 'green', don't you think it would say it somewhere on their site?
