Where do I get this? Have checked Wal-Mart and Target and the smallest I can find is for a 3 yo. FWIW, she's going to be riding in the Bell Classic Carrier on the back of my bike.

Thanks~

TRU sells them. I've gotten both DD and DS's first bike helmet's there (they are toddler size 1 or infant--I can't remember exactly how they label them). Also, a bike store may have something.

we got one at Toys R Us. It's made by Bell and is for 12-24 months. Look for one that says "infant helmet" not "toddler" and it should be for ages 12-24 months.

They are shaped differently to cover more of the head. Ours is like this, but with different graphics.

I need one for DD since I just ordered her the Strider. I got the Orange bike so I would like to find a matching helmet.

Do you need knee padding too? Or at this age its only a helmet?

I got this one at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Giro-Infant-Bike-Helmet-Bunnies/dp/B000EPIEEA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1278952764&sr=8-1
It's cute and has an adjustable fit.

I looked into that one too, it fits at 48 centimeters and DD's only 42. I love the design on it.

You can go to a bike shop and get one professionally fitted. I got one at REI for my 1 yo. It's a Bern helmet.

I got this one from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Lazer-BOB-Flowers-Infant-46-52cm/dp/B001PRR4KG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1279048713&sr=8-4
but, it is good for a minimum of 46 cm. Fits DS very well (he's 47cm) and he finds it comfy and works well in the bike trailer.

We have a Specialized Small Fry helmet for DS. We purchased it at a bike shop where we could try on a number of options to see what fit best.

In addition to being able to fit the helmet correctly, I also found that the helmets sold at bike shops/places like REI are so much more solid and well built. :) I liked the Small Fry a lot too.

This the one we got for DS2:

Does the weight of the helmet matter?

DD's small built. Giro-me2 Infant helmet is 1.5lb where as the Bell helmet is only 9oz, only thing is I can't find the design I like on the Bell.
