Telemarketer called ME to put me on HOLD!

So, this evening I had just left a message for a friend while I was fixing dinner and the phone rang. Figuring it was her calling back, I didn't glance at the caller ID. When I picked up, a message said:

"Please hold for an important message... all representatives are currently helping others, please hold..."

For a half second I thought about holding, just to ask the person on the other end if they EVER had a successful pitch with that strategy. I don't even know who it was (the caller ID didn't make sense). But really, YOU call ME during the DINNER HOUR to sell me something/ask me to give you money and then put ME on HOLD :32:

Ridiculous isn't it? I've gotten that kind of call, too, of course I always hang up. As if they weren't annoying enough already.

I had a bill collection company do that once.
