I'm looking to buy one for my tall 3 yo DS and am clueless as to what's good. There seems to be many brands to choose from. Thank you!!

Loved the specialized hotrwalk. Very lightweight. We got an old bike on CL and had it stripped down by a shop (for $25) and used that also, but it was bigger. The handlebars were high up, though, and not in a natural position for gliding, like the Hotwalk's are.

Actually, I said "loved" but we still "love" it. DS1 uses it now and DS2 will get it next summer.

We LOVE our Strider, but it's definitely little. I'd hesitate to get one for a tall kiddo.

Another vote for the Specialized Hotwalk. I've had it for 2 kids and love it. I think it has better tires than the Strider and is very sturdy.

Specialized Hotwalk all the way. Light and fun - the biggest confidence builder and worth every penny.
