They had a bunch of playmobile stuff at my store too, mostly all pirate stuff, nothing my girls would be into.

They also had lots of My little ponies, polly pockets, barbies, toy story stuff, kai lan, elmo, handy manny, playdough.

I didn't buy a lot because I have a ton already put away for Christmas, but I was happy to see some Tag Jr. books. They were on clearance for $9 making them $4.50 after the half off. I got two and they had 2 others I think that I passed on.

Wow, I had not been to Kmart toy clearance before. Wow.

It's all about the scanning, isn't it? Most of the stuff I purchased was not marked as low as it scanned, even taking the 50% into consideration. I ended up loading the cart, going to the scanner, taking things back, and trying others.

Well, between this and the toy clearance at Target, my 3.5 yr. old is covered for birthday and Christmas I think!

They didn't have a ton at my KMart but I walked out with several My Little Pony toys, a pirate Playmobile (I only have girls but DH loves pirates and ships and such so for $8 I thought I'd humor him), and two remote control hover craft things (also for DH and a close family friend, they can be little boys and race them).

Wish I'd seen more little kid stuff, I'm having a harder time finding good deals on stuff for my 19 mos. old. Tag books and Aqua Doodles would have been nice too!

I hope this gets as fun as last year! So far, no exciting $5 BIG items that I've seen. My KM had things regular price that the KM 15 mins. away had on clearance (yes, I scanned), so I am not sure what to think.

Handy Manny 2-in-1 power tool for $8 has been a huge hit here since last night. The other Handy Manny clearance pieces were the individual boxes of the hammer guy, the tape measure guy, etc. I know I saw somewhere that the toolbox of all the pieces that sings the themesong was supposed to be on clearance, but it was not at mine.

Despite a HUGE thunderstorm tonight, I managed to hit the local Kmart! I got some nice stuff...some for now, and some for later. I bought 2 (one for each of the cars) travel doodle pads ($5), a cute kiddie tool kit with goggles ($4), a nice Discovery toys (I think) globe that is both a regular globe and a star gazing tool ($15), playmobil pirate something or the other (yeah, I know!) that I will pair with some of my Border's finds LOL....

There were some things that I passed on...a nice beginner's guitar for $45, lots of baby dolls and pocket polly stuff. Lots of toys for babies under 1 year, and a good number of board games. Oh, and there were lots of Trio sets. Has anyone had any IRL experience with these? They look kind of cool.

Found 2 of these today, but they were 19.99. I bet it is the old packaging thing. That was the case last year too with a lot of Leapfrog toys and such. I'm definitely taking your receipt # in with me -- thank you sooo much!

Hit another KM today, nothing new to report except that I did see a Buzz Lightyear to the PP who asked about Toy Story.

Wow, I loathe shopping at KM. Found Tag Jr coupons and tried to take them in to apply (with the receipt and with the book). They couldn't figure out how to return and re-ring with q after 20 mins at the beginning, supposedly the whole time I was shopping, and 10 mins afterwards. During that 20, though, they had plenty of time to take breaks from my mind-boggling transaction in order to check out employees at the CS desk. Oh, and I was going to get an Rx transferred; pharmacy closes at 5; huh?

Make sure you get their little free loyalty Rewards card. I randomly got a free Coke this week.

OH, and there were little coupon sheets at customer service. If I hadn't been so frazzled, I could've gotten 3 free hand sanitizers with my $ of purchase.

ETA--Playdoh "backpack" sets were $5.50. These had 4 large Playdohs and a set of plastic letter molds.
There was one wooden playfood set--a whole chicken--and it called itself a puzzle--for $5.
I got 2 more Handy Manny toys, will post details for PP shortly.

I noticed a ton of the exact same stuff clearanced at Target today as well but not near as low as KM.

I went this a.m. My best find was Lego Power Miners sets -- Rock Wrecker (big box) for $14.50 and Crystal King (small box) for $8. I scanned some other Legos, including another Power Miners item, and nothing else came up on sale. I also picked up a few "party packs" of Play-Doh (plastic cylinder, contains 10 of the small size in various colors) for $1.75 and, of course, Playmobil, although paying between $4 and $8 for it actually seems expensive after the Borders sale!

I went to the Braintree store last night and wasn't very impressed. Got a couple of the Handy Mandy tools for $3 for set of 2 and got a kids game for $5 but had seen the same game at Target for that price awhile ago. I also picked up a dance mat (ages five and up) for $7.50 that I got as a gift. Some of the things others mentioned were full price or they didn't have them at all. I didn't look in the girls aisles much though since I have a DS.

Bummer on the Nailer, I got that too! I also got the motorcycle.
Don't take back the power tool, it's pretty cool. DH showed DS1 how to do it just once (you have to open the gear box, turn the dials, etc, and then you've 'fixed it'), and he reeeeaaalllly likes it.

We have three talking Buzz Lightyear toys in the house, so I was pleased to find a talking Woody for $17 at Kmart today. There are two very similar toys: one is marked "Toy Story 3" and has I think 25 sayings -- that one is full price. The other just says "Toy Story" and has 20 sayings -- that's the one that's on clearance. Regular price was $49.99, I think.

My DS received the Handy Manny motorcycle last Christmas. It's still one of the toys he plays with almost every day. But DS LOVES motorcycles! What I like about the toy is the smaller screws that attach the various motorcyle parts don't come off. They loosen enough to swap out parts, but stay in the toy so they can't get lost. Yeah!

Hilarious! I started reading this thread and felt the same way! Bakugan, Playmobil -- same brands that were at Borders, but at $1 each instead. I would feel weird paying any more than a buck for them, I think!

This is the first time I've done the KMart toy clearance (our KMart is very ghetto and I never go there!). When I went to check it out last week there wasn't a whole lot, not sure if they hadn't marked much yet, or if it was already sold out (there were lots of clearance sections but many empty shelves and hooks). Should I go back and check again? Do they add more to it or reduce stuff even further? I'd love to find some younger toys for my 2 yr. old DD. I have her sister pretty much taken care of for B-day and Christmas, so really need to focus on toys for the little one now!
