BTDT. DD1 was 9 days late and I was induced. I'm convinced she would have stayed in there permanently. I say make some plans for a massage or a pedicure. I bet as soon as you have an appointment to pamper yourself the LO will arrive to ruin it for you :rotflmao:

DD was 12 days late according to the OB. She was 14 days according to my dates. It is really miserable after a while for many reasons.

The heat hasn't been so bad (in the 90's but using the A/C), it's just really hard with the other boys. At least the older 2 are in theater camp this week so I get a bit more down time than usual. I'm just on my last nerve all the time & I hate being so crabby. I feel bad for the boys with me so short on patience.

BTDT too.. Induced on the night of 12 days over due.. Gave birth 30 minutes into day 14. Sucks. Put your feet up if you can.

I had decided to lie to everyone about my EDD when pg with ds2 so no one would bug me at the end. I padded the EDD by 10-14 days. It worked so well that I forgot exactly when I was due! It wound up helping at the end b/c I was ticking off my "overdue" days quite as much as with ds1. Though, I thoroughly enjoyed the look on a cashier's face when she asked when I was due while pg with ds1 and I was able to tell her, "2 weeks ago!". I knew I'd go late with ds1 due to dh being so late. Then I really knew ds2 would come on the late side. I think that's the only way I was cool with being 10-13 days past edd with ds2. I finally hit my "done" point with ds2 and had my membranes swept and was in labor 3 hours later!

I had a garge sale June 1st the year DD was born. People would ask when I was due and I'd say May 21. The look on their faces when they figured it out was great!

Both of my kids were 6 days late - those 6 days were rough each time.

I do think that large healthy overdue babies will sleep through the night earlier once they finally arrive.

FWIW, my overdue DS2 baby had a less demanding temperament than my early DS1. ;) True for my DF too.
Maybe they are just more laid back, these slow-to-arrive LOs? ;)

I never knew July was the hottest month of summer until I was in your exact same position 2 years ago. She was due 7/14 and didn't come until 7/23. I actually had a prenatal massage about two weeks before my due date and *begged* the lady to make me go into labor (she claimed she could but wouldn't demonsrate her powers ).
