Dumb question: Staying at Saratoga Springs, are we eligible for Dining Plan?

Since we are staying at Saratoga Spring (Disney Vacation Club resort), does this mean that we are eligible to purchase the a Dining Plan?

Also, are we required to buy the Magic Your Way Package or not?

So confused! I feel like i've read conflicting things. Thanks.

You can purchase the dining plan while staying at a dvc resort. It has to be added at least 48 hours prior to arrival and right now it is paid at check-in however that will be changing soon and will need to be paid when it is added to the reservation. If you're staying in 2011, you'll have to wait to add it until the prices come out for next year.

Are you a dvc member or renting/borrowing points from someone? The member(s) is/are the only ones who can call member services to add/change anything to the reservation so if you are renting/borrowing points from a member then that person has to call and add the dining plan to your reservation (same with Magical Express). You could buy your tickets through Disney or from another source like undercovertourist.com


If you are staying at the DVC resort on a cash reservation (not using points, either your own or someone else's) you could do the MYW package and would be eligible for free dining if it was offered during your dates. The MYW package is only required for the package promotions ~ free dining, kids stay/play free, etc.
