Ouch. Our latest utility bill (gas and electric) arrived and it is $300!! I know that part of the increase is because we have had mostly 90+ degree days, several 100 degree days (and we keep the thermostat at 70 because the upstairs is 5 degrees warmer than the downstairs), and I've been doing tons more laundry/using the dryer more, but sheesh, that's high! Anyone else?

We haven't received our electric bill yet but I am a little nervous!

It's our first month in our new house so we'll see how much this first
bill is. I have a feeling it's going to be high.

Oh, how I would love a $300 utility bill. Ours runs about $600 in the summer and in the winter months. :(

we are on a budget plan that keeps ours at $432 each month...

I think that is pretty reasonable given the square footage and the number of people we have bunking in our house... 7K sq ft w/ basement and 6 adults

I think we're in a similar area, and had the same thing happen! We're scratching our heads... ETA: And ours is just electric!
