We have a nanny/babysitter. She has been with us for almost 3 years. We adore her. We employ her for about 20 hrs a week. Last Christmas we gave her a MacBook. She is leaving us in September (DS2 goes to preschool and we won't be able to provide her with enough hours).
What would you give her as a farewell/midyear bonus?
TIA!

I might do cash and a thoughtful gift, equalling about a week's pay. When ours left, we gave her a necklace and some cash.
I think 1/2 of the cash you would give for holiday bonus (or a bit more if its not a financial issue) and a small, sentimental gift (photo of her and DC, etc).

I would do at least two weeks pay for a nanny that we loved and had used for 3 years. And a nice note and picture of her and kids or the kids. Hope
she will still be available for date nights!

I agree with others...some type of cash bonus with a sentimental type present sounds perfect.
