It's been a busy summer and I need to get a little more excited about my trip!!!! I just took out the countdown calendar (recycling last years') and added a new post-it pad for DS to rip off.

Soooo.....we leave for WDW in 40 days- staying at BLT!

Join in the fun!!! How many days till Mickey?

We are going in November but I haven't counted the days! Good idea though and I think I will when we get closer to the date.

We're going to Disneyland/California Adventure two weeks from tomorrow, for three days. We live nearby, so we'll be "lodging" at home.

DH is coming home for R &R (he's been deployed for 8 months), so this is one of our special things to do with Daddy while he's home.

We actually have tickets for four days, valid until next May. So we'll be going again sometime early next year, for just one day.

I'm thinking we might sneak in a day this weekend while my aunt is in town. :)

47! Woo hoo! :) My first trip to WDW in 10 years, although DH and I were annual passholders at DL. It's DDs' first trip!

We will be going in 43 days!! My parents are tagging along...this will be their first time ever. I was actually rearranging our ADRs last night.

I will also be going solo the week after Thanksgiving. I have a conference at the Swan and Dolphin. I am anxiously awaiting August 26 so I can book my Candlelight Processional package!!

BW villas. I'm really looking forward to it, it's our first time at a DVC property. What about you?

We are now BLT DVC owners after staying last year. Prior to that, we stayed several times at BW villas, and we loved it there as well. In fact, DS keeps asking that we go back to BW! Ask for a room close to the elevators if you can- one year they assigned us a room that was second to the last on the wing, and I kid you not it we were practically at DHS- the walk took 10 minutes just to get to the room. We asked to be moved as my mother was newly recovered from an ankle break and we wanted to limit the extra walk! cIt's so nice to have the entertainment of the boardwalk just downstairs, not to mention Epcot so close! BC also shows movies at night on their "beach" which the kids really enjoyed.

I was just going to say to ask for a room close to the elevators! But it does make the walk to DHS a lot shorter. ;) (As long as you are willing to carry strollers up and down the steps.)

Thanks for the room request tips. :) We'll be spending more time at Epcot than DHS probably, so it makes more sense for us to be by the elevators. Although carrying the stroller up and down stairs doesn't bother me, I travel with a Sherpa (DH). ;)

LOL!

If more time at Epcot, then definitely you want to be near the elevators! It's often faster just to walk to Epcot, but for DS, riding the Friendships over was an attraction in itself!

It is definitely faster to walk than to take the boat to Epcot. We've timed it when we happen to be walking by the boat dock just as a boat is laoding. By the time the boat loads, undocks, pulls away, heads to Epcot, docks and unloads, we are already at the ticket turnstiles. And this isn't rushing, just a leisurely stroll. :)

But sometimes we would take the boat from Epcot to DHS (or vice versa) to give our feet a rest. ;)
