Kokua Like A Bike balance bike or a cheaper one?

I don't know much about balance bikes, but we have the chance to get a wood or metal Like A Bike for less than half of what they cost in the US (where they are about $300). I'm wondering...is it worth it to get a $100+ balance bike or should we just get a $30-50 one from Walmart or Costco? How long do kids typically use them? Thanks!

We have a Strider Balance bike and it is quite reasonably priced. It is nice because it is very light weight.

Thanks! I was looking at seat height when I was comparing different ones online, but I hadn't thought about the weight.

We have a Kokua Like a Bike (metal). We love it. It is almost 3 years old and DS1 rode it all.the.time until last Christmas when he got his pedal bike. The size was great for him and the quality cannot be beat. DS2 has inherited it and it will still got through more kids after him I'm sure. I'd be jumping all over it for half the price we pay over here!
