Activities in Southern NH?

I'm meeting a friend in a few weeks while she is visiting her parents. We usually meet at Canobie Lake Park, but I was wondering if there is something else we could do in Southern NH....museum or other activity.

The kids will be 3, 5 and 7.

Water park? Water Country is in Portsmouth, NH (on the seacoast)
York's Wild Animal Kingdom in Kittery, ME (just a few minutes north of water park) is a cross between petting zoo and small amusement park. Probably better for the young kiddies and outlet shopping nearby for you!
These are both in S.NH, but not near canobie (I93)...they are on I95.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll mapquest the distance for my friend to see how far Kittery is for her (I personally do not like being a human water tobbagan! ;)) and go from there.
