DD went with DH to Cardinals Training Camp, and got Sharpie on a really cute expensive organic cotton shirt. Mind you she talked to Matt Leinart and other players, but I love her shirt!

Any suggestions??????

That's DD little blonde head in the left corner with Matt L. Too bad we are 9er's fans!

What about hydrogen peroxide? I would try it if the shirt is white.

Rubbing alcohol.... lots and lots. DH got pen on a load of B's clothes and I soaked in rubbing alcohol and then washed and that actually worked on almost everything. I think it might work on Sharpie too because it dissolves the ink or something like that

ETA: Throw it in the washer before the alcohol dries though. The batch that DH soaked he let dry and not as much of the ink came out of those few outfits.

Purple shirt, rubbing alcohol sounds like a good idea! Thanks!

rubbing alcohol worked pretty well when DH washed a sharpie with a load of my work clothes. acetone nail polish remover is supposed to work too.

I am afraid acetone would remove the color. Alcohol, I don't think would be as harsh?

Learned from posters here with a Hanna dress:
1.get a bunch of cotton balls
2. dip each one in rubbing alcohol as needed
3. blot the spot several (pretty hard) with each new cotton ball
4. the binding agent for Sharpie is alcohol, so it will bind and lift the stain
5. keep doing it over and over and over to completely remove the ink

If you've got any Greased Lightning at home, try that. I know I've heard before that it can get Sharpie out....

Go to Lowe's and ask for the Motsenbockers cleaning stuff, it works on Sharpies.

Only Home Depot.... I will try the alcohol again, it helped!
