I'm looking for an inexpensive but easy to fly kite. We're considering doing a kite flying party for DS's 7th birthday. If all else fails I can get the inexpensive plastic character kites from Walmart, but I am hoping to find something a little nicer and less disposable.

DS was given a small nylon kite from World Market. It flies really well. I'd love to find the same kite or something similar. Unfortunately we don't have a World Market where I live and I cannot find reasonably priced kites online. Here is a link to what the kite looks like. http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/super-flight-kite--pack-of-12-ea
It is made by ToyI, which is also Toysmith.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I found these pocket kites and am considering them. Does anyone know how well they fly? http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-supplies/productdetail.asp?prodsku=3438

We have these ( mine have characters on then, but look to be the same otherwise) and they are great! So easy for the girls to fly and easy to store in the van. We've had them for 2 years and they're still going strong.

I saw something similar recently at Walmart actually. We often wait and get the big kites that Costco carries (animals) which are fun but can be difficult to fly.
