My SIL is due with her second. She has been looking for meals that she can easily cook for her family(DH, 3 year old, and herself) after the baby is here(and after she uses all of her meals from friends/family.) Do you have any healthy, easy meals for me to pass on to her? What about a website with some?

I'd love to hear some, too. Right now I'm planning on lean turkey chili, turkey meatloaf and a baked ziti--would love other ideas.

I made this baked ziti (with turkey but DH didn't notice) http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1662827

This chicken tetrazzini: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=522494
(I always cook my pasta in chicken broth/water mix for more flavors.)

For the 2 above recipes, I made them, baked them covered, added the topping then froze.

Shepherd's Pie (cook ground beef (or turkey) drain. Add a packet of gravy mix and one cup water. Cook until thickened. Place in bottom of glass dish, mine is a pyrex 2.75 QT deep rectangle dish. Next layer vegetables. My husband only likes corn, so I do a layer of drained canned corn. On top I put mashed potatoes. I normally use homemade, but in a hurry you can use the country crock premade ones. Optional...put cheese on top.

Here is a link to some other ideas: http://allrecipes.com//HowTo/freezing-foods-a-real-time-saver/Detail.aspx

I love allrecipes, the reviews are usually very accurate of the recipes.

I dont really remember having a problem getting my own meals together after having a newborn. I didnt have a C-section though. Am I alone here? If I was nursing the baby my husband just put something together. I never pre-planned meals for after the delivery. I was cooking gourmet or anything, just regular meals like we would usually have (grilled chicken, veggies, rice or pasta or something).
