We brought home leftovers from dinner last night. Daughter has penne with marinara with grilled chicken on top. I forgot to refridgerate it overnight and discovered it this morning. Would you still let your child eat it?

No way unless you want a night of hellish food poisoning. I know from personal experience.

No. I am pretty liberal with food and that is outside even my comfort zone.

:yeahthat:

Agree with PP, I wouldn't eat it, and I'm not especially worried about sell by dates and refrigeration...and I don't ever remember having food poisoning! But room temperature chicken...uh no.

:bag last week we left a Bertucci's pizza out on the kitchen table overnight (the yummy Silano, with chicken and broccoli in a lemon pepper cream sauce with mozzarella cheese) and DH and I had it for breakfast. We were both fine. Not that I'm recommending you feed your child with left-out chicken, just felt like "outing" myself :rotflmao:and letting you know I survived to tell the story. (In our defense, we had the A/C on in the kitchen and it was slightly cooler than room temp :)

My DH would eat it. I wouldn't eat it, nor would I give it to DD. :) Good gut, Mama!

No way! I wouldn't even eat it or let DCs eat it if it had been sitting out just a few hours, let alone a whole night.
