ARGH!
We've been parking one car in front of our house for the past FOUR MONTHS during construction on our house, since there has been NO WAY to fit two cars in the driveway. There is also a fire hydrant in front of our house, but we've ALWAYS been well beyond the "15 feet from the hydrant" rule.
Stupid @(%3#ing COP gave that car a ticket this morning!!!!! Even though it's 15 feet from the hydrant. Even though we have a work permit and permission from the village for on-street parking. Even though we've been parking there for FOUR MONTHS!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH H!

Take a picture and/or video of where you car is parked. Use a tape measure in the picture/video to show you are the required space fron the hydrant. Also bring the letter of approval from the village. I am so sorry. It sucks when they do that and then take time out to go to court.
