DS is going to start solids and I went and pulled out my baby stuff from my DD's.

I saved:
Gerber rubber coated infant spoons
Take and toss plastic spoons and forks
gerber plastic feeding bowls
babies R'us feeding plates
assorted sippy cups ) ([playtex, gerber)

Most of this stuff would have been purchased between 2003-2005. I'm concerned about BPA. I did a little searching and the first years take and toss stuff now doesn't have BPA, but what about stuff from several years ago?

Is there anything you'd feel safe using or should I just pitch it all and buy new things I know are safe?

I pitched mine and bought new for DS3.

I tossed everything plastic that I'd bought in 2006-2007, because the BPA-free stuff starting coming out a couple of years after that. It's not worth the risk for me.

Everything but the tipped spoons probably has BPA in it. The tipped spoons are probably silicone, which doesn't have BPA.

I pitched all mine from DS1 (born in 2003) and got all new.

I'd keep the spoons, start fresh on the others

Thanks for posting my question! ;) I think we are just about in the same place. I'm waiting a few more months to introduce solids to DD2 but I was cleaning my stash the other day. Out it goes!
