Refurbished Apple Products

Has anyone here bought anything refurbished from Apple before? Any cons?

DS got a refurbished ipod touch for his birthday in June. So far so good.

I've bought two ipods and two laptops as Apple refurbs, and they have been just as good as new computers. I highly recommend buying Apple stuff that way, if they've got what you want.

My girls all have refurbished iPod and have had them about 18 months. :)

We have an iPod refurb as well. We can't tell any difference.

Dh ordered me one. It arrived and did nothing. At all.

I called customer service and after trying their trouble-shooting suggestions (that I had already tried before calling), they agreed to send me a new one and sent me a label to return the old one. The replacement arrived two days later and has (knock on wood) been fine.

Yes, lots (i do purchasing for 14 offices - all use macs. all are refurbs).

You'll save yourself a lot of $$ (depending on specs). Watch their page every day, several times a day, so you get a feel for what they offer.

DH has a refurbished Touch....no problems at all.

We've gotten a refurb desktop, Macbook, nano, and Itouch. All have been great straight out of the box... and we saved a bundle.

we got a refurb touch in may and it had slight problems from day 1 with itunes. i did a bunch of troubleshooting with apple cs over the phone for about a week and after they coujdn't figure out the issue they had me go to the apple store and they gave me a BRAND new one. new one is good :)
